YouTube officially pulled out on contentious plans to remove ‘verified’ badges from some creators.

The initial plan was to set a new verification status standard and eliminate existing badges from channels that no longer meet the new standards.
YouTube announced these plans on Thursday and reconsidered its decision 24 hours later. It means that all currently verified YouTube channels can keep their badges.
If all unverified channels reach 100,000 subscribers, verification can be requested, which has always existed.
The keywords here are all channels. YouTube’s original plan was to limit verification to channels and creators that could be mimicked.
It will include celebrities, musicians, famous influencers, and more. YouTuber regular beginners are unlikely to be validated, even if they reach 100,000 subscribers.

The initial YouTube project provoked a strong response from the community, prompting CEO Susan Wojcickiz to apologize:
“We apologize to our creators and users for the frustration and prejudice that the new review method has brought us. We are not reaching our goals as we try to improve. As I write this, we are working hard. Solve your concerns, and we will have other updates soon. “

Some Changes Still Apply
YouTube does not return all advertised systems that modify your verification system. Some changes will still take effect when the application process reopens in October.
New Eligibility Requirements
More work will be done to verify the identity of the channel and prevent phishing.
The new standards include:
Authenticity: The chain must be the creator, brand, or actual entity that claims it.
Completeness: Channels must be public and contain descriptions, channel icons, and content and must be valid on YouTube.
New Verification Badge
Verify that the new look will be available next year. YouTube replaces the highlight of the channel name with a tag that is confused with recognition.
YouTube said the new look would be more consistently displayed across the platform and that it will be more challenging to replicate.
The company said that channels that meet the new requirements no longer need to be verified because verification will be applied automatically.
